Replaced all the speakers in the door(s). The big ones were blown out - I am not rocking it by any means, but they're close to 18 years old and the paper cones were shot. While I was in there I replaced the midtone ones too with OEM, figuring I don't want to come into the door again later. I added more sound deadening where I could on the door. Haven't been able to drive it yet from winter hibernation to see how it sounds from the road. I was glad I ordered bunch of extra clips because about half of them broke off in the process of separating the panel from the door. I took my time over a couple of weeks because the car was sitting anyway - order the parts, wait for it to show up, figure out how to take things apart without breaking it, finally put it all back with it all in working order.

Would you be so kind as to share what new speakers you used, what modifications - if any - were needed to get them to fit, and the part number for the OEM Mids?

Thanks

Can you provide where you purchased these and which specific model they are?

Thanks, it's a fun and practical DD to go with the 997. A turbo is very helpful at altitude in mitigating some of the power loss due to the thin air.

Installed my custom momo Protipo wheel + wrapped the rubber momo boot in leather,

shift **** and handbrake made by Frank @ exclusive options. I can’t say enough about their work! This just about finishes off my leather bits for my 997.1 but really tempted to do the center stack.

(pardon the dirty interior, it’s still hibernating)

I was considering the Hill Country Region’s coming up on the 15th but have a prior engagement. Just did the Pick Yer Tour last month and had a good time.

I did it to my 997 as well as the wife's E93 cabrio, both work perfectly. For me it's worth every penny just for the convenience of having the top down or up by the time I get in the car.
