Today I demonstrated my FSI 4.0 in Sport+ mode to a friend who had never been in any Porsche before. Zero to 140 then hard brake into a nice S curve showed him everything he needed to know.

OK, that’s not bad at all. Thanks for the link, I hadn’t seen nor heard of that before.

Replaced my heavily putted front windshield today. OEM glass. Originally thought I'd need to pay cash but I wrote to my insurance agent asking if they would cover it and she said yes. Initially the State Farm rep said they would only pay for aftermarket but the guy left and I didn't have to pay anything. No deductible in AZ. Old one actually looked good from the outside but driving into the sun was hell. Honeslty not safe. I was a but surprised how easily it all went down, nobody had to verify the damage or anything. A no Brainer if you are also in AZ and have a pitted windshield to at least ask your insurance. But it doesn't surprise me that there are so many fraud claims and companies offering to pay you $400 if you choose them to replace your glass, i hear AZ is the #1 state in US for glass claims.

997.2 Fished out 4 CDs, from 3 slots in PCM3 in dash CD changer. Why can’t more cars be this easy to work on?

Only 6 screws to remove PCM. A further 6 to perform discectomy.

Default Replaced awful Ziza LEDs with superbrightleds.com cheapies

Based on some of the other threads I had put the Ziza LED set into my 997.2 (interior, frunk, engine, license plate) at a cost of around $150. Big mistake. Exterior and frunk/engine are fine but the interiors were just awful. As others have noted, the footwell LEDs show purple dots:

And the same bulbs in the doors have bright spots because they are a composite of 4 sides plus the tip. This pic almost makes the bright spots look OK but they are piercing in person:

The 2 map lights didn't work at all in either polarity or after a battery disconnect. The units I got from superbrightleds dot com were much nicer quality both physically and in terms of the light they produce. Bottom is the new $3 part from SBL dot com and the above is what you get from ECS Tuning / Ziza for 3-4x the cost.

Note the cheaper one is glass and fits identically to a factory incandescent. The Ziza is this huge plastic thing that sometimes doesn't connect right.

Here is the "after" footwell (sorry for different cropping) - no purple dots:

And here is the door:

I did opt for 4000k "natural" white rather than 5000K+ to have it be a bit less piercing. If I were to do it again I'd probably go back with 5000K to get the WHITE look but this way looks a bit less obnoxious and still has a clean whiter light. I didn't change the license plate or engine/frunk and probably will just leave them. If it really starts to bug me I might get the 5000 for interior but for now I'm happy. These worked perfectly and I wouldn't recommend anyone get the Ziza kit from ECS. Map lights lit up immediately with no issues, too.
