2009 997.2 S. Dead OEM battery. Replaced with Walmart brand. H7 group size. Perfect fit. Made 3/18, felt like I hit the lottery there. $150, 5 year warranty, 800 CCA. Car started right up. PASM, PSM, Dynamic headlight and entry mode errors. All errors gone after driving maybe 50 feet. Heated, cooled seats worked without issue. Heated steering wheel no issue. Radio presets retained. OEM 90* vent tube reused on new battery on left side. New battery came with light gray plug for right side. New battery is 5 pounds lighter. Yay...
Try the H8 from Wallyworld next time, it's 20 bucks cheaper and has more POWER!!!

It definitely crossed my mind. I ended up with H7 for a couple reasons: direct, no hassle fit, more CCA than OEM H7 battery, lighter by 5 pounds (doesn't sound like much but that's more than a 10% reduction in weight which was attractive to me). It would be interesting to see the weight of the H8. I bet it's not much heavier than the H7.
Also, my 911 is a garage queen that's never driven in below freezing temps so having additional CCA's wasn't a top priority.
How much was that? I bought a belt in order to DIY but ran into a slight roadblock with the tensioner pulley.
Not cheap. :-)
I think the belt plus labor and taxes was ~$270 if it was on it's own. The 40,000 service was about ~1700 by itself, and the parts for the ignition coils was $636.
I had the belt quoted out before I decided to do it with the 40,000 miles, but because it was done with the service they didn't charge me labor on that either. All said and done it was $2,500.00

Nice job there! I did mine, though felt it wasn't quite as fun as intended! You did a great job concealing attachment and edges. Good work. Now that I've seen yours, not showing mine
Changed the oil and filter on my 2012 C2S DFI car. Added 8 quarts of Joe Gibbs DT40 5w40. Installed a new oil filter element and associated filter gasket.
Also changed the cabin air filter. Put a Mann charcoal filter in because of the nasty pollen we get here in the mid-Atlantic.
Performed the "required" test drive and all was well...no CEL lights, no leaks and oil level is one bar above the bottom line. Life is good!
Quick test fit of my newly powdercoated ‘orange glow’ calipers. Rebuilt with new pistons and seals, Centric and Girodisc respectively. Also will install new Stoptech stainless lines that I’ve had kicking around for a while now.
Looking forward to a lovely driving season! Also planning on attending Treffen Banff in September so wanted the car to look sharp whilst in the mountains!
