OT but we used to go down Olinda Road from Seabury Hall HS to the small town of Makawao on Maui when I was a teenager... with no pads and just a pair of Vans to slow us down. Man... 35MPH is really fast on a board. Hope your boys had more protective gear than we did back then. I had a classmate who got his right foot caught trying to stop too suddenly on one of those runs. It wrapped back under his board and behind him. I wasn't there to see it happen but he ended up in traction at the hospital. I started focusing on Windsurfing, SCUBA, and doing other dangerous things after that... still have a board collecting dust in the attic though. Now my sled is a 911. GL and be safe bro.

Found this on youtube. Not my vid but gives you an idea of the road we were going down on our backs. I was there from '80-84 during my HS years.

Great video. The boards they use today are highly engineered for speed. Both my boys are like cats. Throw them in the air and they land on their feet. They can actually do flips and land on a slack line which is the dumbest thing I've ever seen them do so far. They claim that they've hit 45+ mph but I've never seen it. We raced motocross up until last year so we've all spent nights in the hospital. The oldest is in college and working part time and the youngest doesn't want to race anymore. I'm just getting too old for it. Now I focus on the car as well; it's safe. I would like to scuba. We snorkel all the time when we vacation in the Caribbean. The ocean is surreal.

I'll bet that the wiper arm slipped out of his hand when the blade was off and hit the windshield. It happened to me on a previous car.

What a find!
Found a nail in my tire. Luckily it did not leak, although the nail was actually a big screw with a washer on it all the way into my thread. Tire is almost brand new put back in Nov. Have it fixed obviously

Found a nail in rear tire with about 30% tread left, road hazards covered by the aftermarket warranty I purchased from the dealer so they gave me a new tire for free with no deductible. I went ahead and bought the tire for the other rear.
