Smoked taillights arrived! See pics attached. These were taken in bright sunlight. My first impression is that the effect is not overpowering - in some light, the clear side markers look almost the same tint. It isn't as dark as my window tint. From behind, they have a darker look - and I really like it against the carrera white

Just got mine, will install shortly and post pics. They sure look like OEM quality, albeit the craftsmanship on the back of the lights is not that clean.

Would like to see more pics of your car with the new lights from a rear angle and from the side.

Just installed mine last night! AMAZING! Totally plug and play, didn't have to use the extra resistors (I got an '07), and everything works perfect. Even the left fog lights.

The car look is totally transformed! Makes an absolute HUGE difference. Someone asked about how bright they are, They are definitely as bright as OEM and specially the brake lights are very bright I can see half of the stree behind me light up when I brake.

In terms of quality, it is not quite OEM, you can see/feel the difference between OEM (Made in Italy Valeo), and Depo (Made in Taiwan), but it is THE CLOSEST thing to OEM I've ever seen, and for the price it's worth every penny!

Took some pics with BB but they're not that great, better pics later.

So are the resistors need for a 2007 GT3? One last question is there any need to take off the bracket or do you only remove the center screw for install?

I believe, too, that the USA version of the rear LED lights found on 997.2 cars feature RED turn signal LEDs while these and the other aftermarket LED rears for the 997.1 cars feature yellow turn signal LEDs. (In Europe I suspect the 997.2 cars have the yellow).

Dectane is yellow, which I like A LOT BETTER! I have NO IDEA why they use Red in US?

Alex,

The lights look good. Now fix your license plate.

Lol... fixed RIGHT after I took those pics! Had to find the right screw.

I believe someone was trying to take it off the car when I was in Seattle, but they ran when we approached the car again, GF noticed some ppl around the car, but I didn't check license plate. Then coming back at the border the Customs got suspicious and then I noticed one screw is missing and the other loose...

Resistors shouldn't be necessary on an '07. I didn't need them on mine, but your mileage may vary.

Only the center screw needs to be removed.

Apparently it doesn't hurt to put them on, so why not put them on regardless?

Mine arrived today, I just installed them with the resistors and they work perfectly. No warnings and the fog works perfectly. They look amazing when you see them in person.
