Who has tracked their car?

Seeing as I'm sitting in the right seat of paspar's lightning video, I take it you had a good time...?!
Lightning is a particularly good track for a novice, imho. Short enough to learn the line quickly, lots of variety, lots of passing zones, and, best of all, lots of runoff and few walls.

caught red handed!!!
Yes had a great time! I REALLY like this track.. been back twice since, waitlisted on the event in July. I need to start signing up further in advance...

How did you get suck a sick video taken like this, w/ the telemetry and all? Is it an option that you can choose at the track or need to set up beforehand, etc?
I was just checking all of my front lights and forgot that my clear bra guy did all of them already! I thought I had to blue tape everything.

I guess what Im saying is if you're there to learn and have fun and not push the car past what you know it will do youre safe. But if you're there trying to beat a lap time and driving the car past of what you know it will do, then you should get a dedicated track car you can accept trading paint with the tire wall.
I posted NHMS video above in this thread - if you saw it you can compare to how it looks like when car gets pushed and slides 10/10. Doing such on a track is possible but probably would not be very wise as any unexpected slippage will make you spin out and crash.
Lower DE run groups are smooth, calm and all about control and precision.

I do have the pro - it lets you record video. I followed a link off Harry's website for a device that plugs into your OBD port and sends out a wifi signal that you set the iphone to hook to (like a router). Harrys software does the rest.

I have a heavy duty suction cup mount for my much heavier camera and I used the ball joint off a walmart iphone suction cup mount that had the same ball size...
the walmart suction cup mount works but it is prone to wiggle at higher speeds. The panavise mount i have is much better.
