You guys are the type of people I like to buy my cars from! They depreciate down to 35-40% of sticker price, they are usually in perfect condition and rarely have many miles on them...and then when I get my hands on your former prized car i race the crap out of it. I enjoy every bounce off the rev limiter and it's worth every penny I spent on it. Keep it up, i'll be needing another one in about 5 years!

Yup. I get it. I mentally start calling my new Porsche "my old Porsche" about two weeks after I first get it home.
I don't beat the sht out of it, and I do park it carefully, but I'm not out there washing, waxing, fussing and detailing more than necessary to keep it looking _clean_ (not factory new).
Too many other things to deal with.
My cars will get ONE machine polishing: on the day before I trade 'em in.
I don't mind other guys taking HUGELY GOOD care of their cars: it's fun!
My challenge right now is trying to keep paint on the lugs. I painted them black to match the wheels and every time I remove the wheels to clean/service it chips the paint. Any suggestions?
Two recommendations:
1) Use a 19mm Soft Socket (sold at several major online sites); and
2) Spray the lug bolts with clear spray paint (from your local hardware store).
Total cost is about $30. The lug bolts on my garage queen still chip a little, but much less so than before. (I guess this qualifies me for the **** group. )
All of my washing and detailing towels also have to be folded a certain way. Some get folded in half while others get 4 folds. And all of the rounded seams/folds face out. Then I place them in the garage cabinet a certain way- smallest to largest.
The towels also get double washed and doubled rinsed.

Well of course... but to do you assign different jobs based on the color of the towels? Green-wheels, blue-minor body (detail spray), pink - wash, dark blue(heavy nap) - dry, brown - wax, yellow - tire rubber?

I was embarrased to admit I did the above....yep all micro fiber towels folded and segregated by their particular job on my car.
