I find full immersion and a good soaking is the best way to clean a P-car.
It's hard to find a pool completely filled with distilled water, but you can wash your car like this and then rinse with distilled water.
Save on crane fees by a 20mph run directly into the pool. This speed usually prevents exhaust system damage and gives sufficient cushioning. Be sure to keep windows open.
When done you have to drain the pool to completely remove dirty water but it's worth it.
Remember: full immersion cleans the areas where the rustproofing can get dusty.

Seriously? You're probably using the wrong-shaped sockets. Gotta have curved facets (not flat) to avoid pinching off paint on edges.

Im probably not the only one that does this....after a spirited drive I put a small fan beneath the motor to cool it off quicker. Its in my garage right where the rear bumper is so its easy to pull out and pop it under the car.

If I'm parked in tall grass I usually wet it down first. (A common location for me, next to my waterski hole.)

So do ya'll prefer to sleep in the passenger seat for more space, or behind the wheel as if ready to go? Pillow and blanket, or roughing it?

I don't drive my car in the rain (see my old threads to see the blasting I got over that) and am obsessive about small details on all my 9 vehicles.
