The "low tech" answer are Q-tips doubled-up and dipped in wheel cleaner. Works very well.

The "high tech" answer is getting one of these from Phil at Detailers Domain:

I also keep several cans of this, in the frunk, in case I can't get any while out & about, and want to do a quick touch-up:

Things like ultra clean wheels (every 40 or 50 miles), no rain, no dirt, no dust, no parking....

I'd appreciate hearing some stories from others that are so affected.

Those that drive in the rain need not respond...lol
i drove my car ~ 800 miles over the past 3 days, including a day at Streets of Willows and at least 4 hours in driving rains, unusual here in sunny so. cal.
Yes, my car is dirty, very dirty, but that'll change this weekend.

have fun, polishing can be fun too.

A friend looked at my car one day and said "sports cars should be sold with black front wheels." I responded, "No, a dark matte grey, almost black. And it should be all four."

I appreciate a clean car - they're beautiful clean. I definitely greatly appreciate those who carefully clean their wheels. It seems like wheels easily stain, and a good clean of the entire wheel can prevent this. While the inner surfaces are not what people notice when looking at a car, a dusky wheel surface is still visible, at times, while a nice, clean one helps the car look that much better. Unfortunately, my current schedule leaves me with little time to clean. The last time my car had a bath, it was Nugget who washed it!

It is so rewarding to spend a few hours really cleaning the car and having it sparkle when you're done. The way the light refracts in a freshly waxed metallic paint is fantastic.

I do that but also align the seam to the opposite end of the sip hole to minimize leakage. And sometimes school the Barista on the necessity of such measures.

Hate the sip hole. Hate cups with a sip hole and no hole cover.
Prefer to bite out my own triangle.

Talk about ****: I'll tell you my story and you tell me if I am ****.

I have a deoinzed water supply to avoid water spots on the body (CR spotless system)
I then bought a $$$ Kranzle pressure washer to wash grime/bugs off before applyting soap to avoid scratches on the body due to exoskeletons of the dead bugs even though my usual wash technique is quite **** retentive utilizing a three bucket method using high quality microfibers
I then bought a heated duomax air blower for a touchless drying so that I don't induce any scratches or swirls during drying with a towel.

....and I do wash my car every weekend (95% of the time) and have been doing so for > 14 months. Here is the best part: I am doing all this to not even protect the paint but to protect the clear-bra that is wrapped on the whole car's paint. What do you think I am ??? CRAZZZZZY RIGHT.
