Pictures of rear shot of 997 and 997 wide-body?
I have been searching for pictures of rear shots of a standard 997 and a wide-body 997 such as C4S or targa 4 so that I can see the visual difference. Porsche websites didn't have good pictures. I did go to a dealer and saw them in person but I wanted to see the side-by-side shots before pulling the gun on the wide-body 997. Just like someone mentioned in earlier post, the rear-angle alone on wide-body 997 is worth the price. I don't track my cars but fatter ties, more aggressive stance, and sexier curves are what I want, not so much the AWD. But on the other hand, I could save about $8k w a narrow-body 997 since 997 body is already wider than that of 996. Cheers.

The 2S isn't wide enough? Anyone who would pay $8k just for 1.75" additional width needs to have his head examined.
You said you've already seen them in person, so what help would pictures be? I can never tell the difference between a 2 and a 4 without seeing the logo. It's not big enough to be obvious.

You agree that 997 C2S is wide. By that, you meant wider than the predecessor 996 C2 or C2S. Then, if you can obviously tell the 1.48" width difference from 996 is visually wider, why would you have such a hard time telling 1.73" width difference between a 997 C2 and C4S? Anyone who thinks 1.73" difference is not noticeable on a small Porsche body should have his vision & head examined.
Below is a chart, compliment from "gota911" from a 996 forum:
To give you a relative comparison, here are the dimensions of the 996 and the 997 narrow bodies versus wide bodies:
Model ---- N/B ----- W/B
996 ----- 69.70 ---- 72.10
997 ----- 71.18 ---- 72.91

I don't get it, If you've seen the cars in person what will pictures show you? Unless you have shots of both cars parked in the same place with the camera in the same place, with similar lighting it won't mean much as "sandwedge's pics above show. If less than 2 inches of rear fender makes you happy, spend the extra $8000.

Those who "don't get it" are ones who don't have the C4, C4S, Taga 4, Turbo. They get it.

I demoed a 4S at Carlsen Porsche in the Bay Area. Salesmen said they sell a lot of them. People who buy them like the look and the handling better on the 4S.
I bought my car used. It seems that on the used market, the 4S often has more options. If my car had been a 2S, I would have bought it anyway for the other options like X51 and painted seat backs. I like the 4S a lot though, now that I have it. I note no understeer or oversteer at all. It corners like it is on rails and I do not notice the weight differential. I think of the difference as equivalent to the difference in audio speakers. Mostly a matter of taste.

I got a wide a$$ C4S I actually purchased it because it looks really good, like me! I purchase a "S" model because I thought it stood for "Sexy", like me! BTW, there is not a mirror big enough for me!!
Just kiddin'!!!
I would be more concerned with which car drives to your liking. RWD vs AWD.

Yeah... they were going to set it up the next day, but didn't have the time to drive out there. Besides, that particular C4 had manual seats, and so I wasn't really pushing them.
