I'm doing a market research project to better understand consumer preferences for auto insurance, specifically focused on owners of Porsches (and other luxury/high performance cars) in the United States. Would any of you mind sparing 10 minutes to take my anonymous survey?

I do remember looking into this a few months ago and just got an error message on the website, but I was just able to get a quote. Maybe it was a limited time pause or for a particular state? Mine’s in Texas and I got a quote that seems too good to be true. Same coverages/deductibles, fairly strong AV number and the quote is exactly HALF of what I’m currently paying. The pay-by-the-mile thing is interesting though. I guess if you drive more than your policy amount you just get billed for the incremental extra mileage?

I guess the only reason I didn’t just do it on the spot is that I’m a creature of habit. Been on my existing policy forever. Guess I need to rethink that.

What county in NJ. I just went on Hagerty and they asked for miles driven. For my 2014 Carrera with 6k miles annually AV $65k & my 2021 Cayman S with 4k miles annually and $75k value they want $2900. I pay $2100 with NJM. I am in Mounmouth county

At least they are renewing existing policies in CA, unlike AZ.

So what are we saying here? Reports of no new policies in some areas, and (maybe?) no renewals in others. Is there a concern that Porsche may be trying to exit this business?

We just switched to Cincinnati from AAA. I have agreed upon value on all three 911's.
AAA wouldn't do agreed upon value, wouldn't factor miles, and considered my 17 year old daughters viable drivers of the gt3.
They can't even push in the clutch. Small weak children LOL. I would love nothing more than to have one kid in the 997 C2S, the other in the 964
and me in the gt3 ripping through the canyons. But they take after my wife. "Heated seats are the best part of driving".

From a previous thread on this, it sounds like they are looking for a new underwriter. Interestingly they used the same one in both Ca and Az, so can’t say why they only took the half step in Ca of no new policies vs cancelling all. Maybe different insurance regs by state. At least their communications indicate that it’s a question of when not if they return to Az. It’s an amazing deal, around $600 /yr for 2500 miles @ $100k agreed value and no usage constraints other than mileage.

Before I contact them, does anyone know if you can add another non-Porsche to your policy? Terms on the website are sort of vague. Would be nice to add my DD to this policy as well.

Porsche Auto Insurance is provided and underwritten by Mile Auto. Mile Auto basically created a new subdivision and branded specifically for and licensed from Porsche NA. I'm not sure why they are not adding new policies and/or renewing in certain states. I live in Oregon and have had no issues renewing my policy but I am wondering now if something is up. I hope not. I have been very satisfied with my coverage for the past two years.

Confirmed, they will add other makes to this policy if you want. Did not quote one but did initiate coverage on my 997. Better coverage limits and agreed value for less than half of my mediocre coverage from USAA. Interestingly, USAA now has a pay by the mile option (similar to the Porsche policy) and a collector car policy - both via 3rd parties. Both were astronomically high.

I'll stick with them for my daily (for now) but man, USAA isn't the same thing they used to be.
