Thanks for the compliment. There have been Android head units for these PCars for a while. This one looks similar to the PCCM Plus that is to be released, but at a lower cost and less restrictive.

Does this retain all the PCM controls?

Mic setup clear for callers too?

Is CarPlay wired or wireless?

Thank much! Looks great!

The PCM controls will be gone, but if there is sport chrono, the clock will continue to work by way of the steering wheel stock.

The microphone set is very good. Main reason for replacement. Have had calls with the roof down and the Enfig microphone was very clear to the listener. Tested without the Enfig and was also decent.

correct, but this prototype unit is what I am refering to.

- very close to oem font type (similar to your new replacement switches)
- overall mold size of the pcm matches the factory pcm sizing (won’t protrude at the sides).
- the button placement is based on the oem 996 pccm+. with the exception of the added SET button (but BACK was pushed to the far right as possible).
- the ***** diameter is a few mm too small (which i dont think can be fixed now), but they are working on reducing the length of the ***** for the final version.
- the SD card slot (while I doubt I will use), is a nice touch - the upcoming 997 oem pccm+ Has microSD slot as well.
- the silver version will use the nissan KR2 color code that has been mentioned on the forums for about a decade for begin a VERY good match to the factory volcano grey

with that said, it should blend right into the centre stack, and thats even to the discerning eye.

Default Radio

Hopefully the RCA output for the Bose is included. I did not see that option on the website just the entire radio is what I ordered. I have the stock Bose in my 997. Thanks for all the info. Looking forward to install and replace my climate control buttons as well.

Super glad i found this thread. What a clean headunit to replace stock. Looks awesome, I had a similiar android powered unit in my 4runner and it was fantastic. Hook it up to your hot spot and you can do things like not watch netflix.

Default Adapters

Not sure if the radio comes with all the necessary adapters for bose. Not much information on the site. I guess I will find out when it gets here. See below what it comes with

The unit only comes with RCA for right and left that can be used to drive a MOST adapter.that will feed a fiber optic signal to the BOSE amplifier. You will need to buy a MOST adapter separately. With only right and left RCA, you will lose the ability to adjust the subwoofer and the rear speakers.

This is what was received. Did not come with the MOST decoder, but will be necessary if you have a OEM Bose amplifier as there will be no option to connect the output signal to the amplifier. Other sellers have as an option to purchase, but they are readily available online. If just ordered you may be able to buy and have it shipped with the unit. Simple installation for the decoder, tap into your new harness with the yellow constant power, red ACC power and black ground. Then plug in the unit RCAs and 2 fibre optic lines. Did not require on this installation as the entire Bose amp was previously replaced, but installed the decoder on a different application.

Unit came with the harness, CANBus, etc., but no decoder. Also came with a rear camera that was not ordered.

How are you sending a signal to your aftermarket amp? Are you using the RCAs or the speaker terminals in the harness?

Using RCAs from the head unit to RCAs coming from the amplifier for output signal. Amplifier powers the speakers from the frunk. Speaker wires from the head unit power harness were not utilized, cut and capped off.

This was what I had to work with, no harness, but plenty of room for activities.

Off topic, another quick addition. OEM 60’s removed the pins and placed with 3M emblem tape.
