I read that too, but I think only the fluid was replaced if you read the description below that includes the parts list. Also, the total service cost would have been much higher if transmission was actually replaced.

He also does not want the hassle of tire kickers. The car is very clean, white on black interior, non-original cat-back exhaust, and with green calipers (yup!). He does not want to go back to stock configuration (just the hassle) and will discount from full list prices to sell it. Obviously, higher than $45K, and likely much less than $80K.

If anyone is interested, and is serious, contact me via and I'll put you in touch.
$45K for a 2010 997.2 with less than than 40K miles? In a market where most dealers have next to no 997.2 inventory with strong demand. Isn't $45K closing in on the lower range of what a well kept -06 or - 07 997.1 with less than 40K miles go for these days? Dealers will be dealers with their trade in offers but something seems off here. Any adverse history on the 2010 trade in or lack of maint. records?

It's not shocking that a dealer would give a lowball offer on a trade in. For another $20k, I'd deal with some tire kicking.

This…

I am one of the individuals that overpaid, but there is no way around it and .2 prices will probably never come back down, especially the ones equipped with a manual.

Watch the manual coupes......get one now.....manual 997.2 is the next 993 appreciating car.

If the 997.2 ever gets to 993 territory, then 997.1 is soon to follow.

Or I'm just saying that because I have a 997.1 lol

Of course not. But 997 inventory is all but dried up at dealerships across the country based on posts here and elsewhere and this specific thread started on the subject. So you'd think the dealerships would ease off a bit on their offensive low balling but they can't seem to let go of business as usual no matter the market dynamics.

Instead of making a killing on some trade ins in a normal market, wouldn't it make sense to make a little less rather than not making anything at all? This is a different, less dealer friendly market and they have nothing to sell because their trade in offers are offensive enough as if nothing has changed and potential trade in customers walk away disgusted.

As I've said more than once, last time I was at the local dealership there was not one single 997 on the used for sale lot. Not one. A number of 991's though.

Per the dealer, LuxSport, this 997.2 PTS C4S car is still available. When contacted, the dealer said it did not meet reserve. How's that possible when the auction says it sold?

I seem to recall watching this close. Seller flake? If so I doubt they will be selling on BaT again at least not via RareCarCollector23.

Post on BaT and ask the winner @Chevelle70.

LuxSport and their owner Lance have a less-than-stellar reputation over on the Pelican Parts forum, they're kind of a forums joke over there.

i said it was overpriced bc i've seen similar spec'd cars with the same or less mileage for $75k or less in the last 2 months. thats not a huge amount, but nonetheless still higher than "average" .2 market atm. maybe that additional $5k is due to the CPO?
