How hard was this to do? I gave up on removing my parking brake when I installed my new leather console, so it's just sitting here in my office taunting me.

I did not remove my parking brake at all, just the leather handle and banana piece. It was pretty straightforward using a youtube video on which screws to remove - maybe took 30 minutes max. It's finding one of these leather consoles now - I rarely see them anymore. I just got lucky at the time.

No, I have one, already installed it. The only thing I didn't install was the handbrake so that is sitting in my office. If it's easy to install the leather piece then that's what I'll do.

Depends on what you have laying around...remember mine came with everything so the handbrake was easy. I don't think it's necessarily easy to get a new leather handbrake "handle" cover and banana piece for the rear of the handle but I could be wrong. the banana slides on but I can't recall if you can do that with the console already installed, but probably can. This is hands down my favorite cosmetic mod in this car.

Like two years ago I ordered full leather center console from Latvia, and have everything installed already. The only piece I didn't install was the handbrake that came with it, so I have a new full leather handbrake sitting here in my office. I probably wouldn't install the banana piece; car is already brown leather so that wouldn't change much but the new touchpoint would freshen it up.

Figure I'd let y'all know that I sold my 997 and picked up a 991 last week. That means I have the leather console for sale now. I sold the stereo stack side panels already. What's left is the center console in black with deviated silver/white stitching, the silver piece of trim that goes under the shifter and the other piece on top of that that's also leather. I do not have the shift boot or shifter **** any longer. Feel free to PM me if interested
