Groov you made a great move here and will be enjoying this car all summer with a smile on your face. If I had the garage room I would have a similar cab right now. Been looking lately and its hard to resist. I am also in the lobster fork camp and considered them for my car when I bought it. Great light weight wheel. Curious how is the road noise when at highway speed. Could you hear the stereo pretty well top down if you decided to go with music for a while? I normally just listen to the car and engine except for very long trips.
Hi street rod!
With top down and windows down, driving 80MPH radio was easy to listen to. Volume up but car has the upgraded Bose system with the super big woofer speakers (Larger lower speaker in door - I think they are woofers)
My car has the removable wind screen and now sure if that is a factor in the sound level? Wind screen stayed up entire trip and nice that it doesn't interfere with the top raising or lowering.
As a coupe lover I haven't been around many Cabs. Lines on the Cab with top down are sweet. Sort of has a Roadster look.

So Groove, what all did you get done to it and what is left that you wanted to do ?
For me, it is a front diff oil change, drop oil pan inspection plate (at next oil change) and spark plugs. Still on original water pump, but did a full flush and refill on that in 2015, along with 3 300 mile back to back oil changes.
Mentioned what I had done in the previous post above.
I would suggest changing out the water pump and thermostat soon - The 180 degree thermostat is the one to go with.
Good job on the coolant flush and back to back oil changes.
I hear ya! I've never really honed in on the later model Porsche Cabriolets in the past and have owned a 356 Roadster and 911sc Cabriolet so finding this 06 Cab was a nice treat.
Driving with top down is such a nicer experience. Top was down all 1000 miles.
1000 miles topless will tell you everything you need to know about liking the experience.
Sounds like your in love. Don't blame you, my car is an 06 also. Had a great service history, shined during the PPI too. I regret that life & weather didn't let me fly to Colorado to drive the 2200 miles back
but I'm super happy with the car. Still feels like a 911. And the chassis is very well put together. My wife has a much new S5 cab and though it's a great car, you can feel the cowl/chassis flex on bad pavement.
Not in the 997
So Groovzilla, is this car your first drop top 911 and "4" awd for you as well? Or maybe it's your first 997 "4". I was just curious if all your previous cars were rear wheel drive only. It's hard to keep track of your latest and greatest driveway 911 photos

My 1st drop top was 356 Roadster, then 83 911sc Cab. All coupes after and AWD started happening with my 3 996 C4S's then my 07 997 C4S...and now this C4 Cab.
Love the widebody but can go either way. Really liking the Cabriolet and black gauge faces like the aircooled days
If you saved your prior temp and can ***** we can install them. Also if you want to do a full speaker redo and put in Bluetooth for audio.
You have my number!
I gave my HVAC buttons to the buyer of my 997S I'll order more today and hit u up when I get them- and thanks for the offer on Bluetooth - I'll be bringing the booze over
Wife had the audacity to leave this on passengers floormat.
I guess our wife's have something in common too. My gal was passing this village pamphlet around to other soccer parents the other nite while at a tourney in Hershey Pa.
She doesn't even drink!
