Would you mind posting/sending the part numbers you got? The car looks great. If you don't have MF enabled, does your horn still work?

Sure. Yep, the horn still works. I bought the following:

* 991.2 Small-Diameter Steering wheel (eBay $800)
* 991.2 Manual Trim w/o Sport Chrono Plus stalk cutout ($400, obscene for a piece of plastic trim but I couldn't find one apart from going New from Suncoast)
* Black manual GT Trim Uppers and Lower (Sourced from Rennlist Classifieds - $100)
* 991.2 Airbag (Sourced from Rennlister with Multifunction control adapters - akin to GPSAdapter - $400)

Suncoast has the steering wheel assembled here but (a) it's $1800, and (b) it doesn't include the airbag which if sourced from Suncoast will be another $1200+. This was a mod where I elected to collect the parts more slowly as opposed to pushing the easy "buy it now" button.

Steering column control unit PN 99761328901 from Suncoast. Must be reprogramed by PIWIS.
My horn works.

Awesome thank you! Did you need to program it as Multifunction? Would you mind sharing exactly what you did with the PIWIS? I have access to one, but haven't programmed anything wheel-related beyond MF/Non-MF.

Currently, when I programmed my car to have MF, the horn would blare constantly and stop when I pressed in the airbag (opposite of correct behavior). I was thinking that maybe I could replace the steering control module but was suspecting that it could be a difference in how the car responds to the airbag ground connection being made/broken.

I had the steering module programed by my Indy and do not know exactly what they programmed. The instructions I have found said to do a "new car turnover", set for "Tip/PDK" and I think, but not sure not sure, to set for MF even though I do not have MF. There are some threads on Reenlist that describe all of this and may be of help to you. Hard to find but worthwhile. I got my wheel on Ebay and can't remember the PN but it is from a 997.2 or 991.1, either works and both look the same. The horn problem is discussed and is a common failure. Good luck.

Thank you so much! I've tried to dig around a bit on Rennlist, but the search functionality here isn't the absolute best haha. From my understanding, there was a shift in wiring from 2009 to 2010, even within the 997.2 generation. I'll keep searching, but appreciate your advice!

Does your new 991 steering wheel have multi function? If it does you would need one of these:

I don't believe it's actually a 991 wheel. I think it's a 997 wheel that looks visually similar, but not for my model year. My car did not come with a MF wheel from the factory as far as I can tell, and the wheel is not a MF wheel, as far as I can tell:

Has anyone here purchased Rennlines new Carbon wheel? How do you like the feel? Would you do it again?
Thanks.

Looks like a rebranded aliexpress wheel. Probably fine if you're into that look. But save yourself a few hundred dollars.

Modded rather than upgraded. Changed the button wiring (pull left for down and pull right for up) and ceramic coated it so the buttons don't lie
