My comments are all directed at the current seller's attempt to minimize/obscure all the work you did on the car. Having not seen the car in person, I can't comment on the quality, but it's clear he's trying to paper over the work you did, claiming it was done elsewhere. This lack of truthfulness seems to be, sadly, all too common in the sale of performance cars, which typically leaves the buyer in a bad spot.
Something about the auto industry makes it corrupt from top to bottom (new car sales, used car sales, auto repairs, body shops, insurance). The prevailing ethos is that if I lie to you and you fall for it, then you are to blame, not me. It's ugly and turns morality upside down. In all things car related I've learned to start with the assumption that everything is a lie and force those making the claim to prove it.
Edit: went back and checked the listing and he said the coolant lines were an $11k job (not 10-15k). Perhaps someone paid that much but it's more than double what's typically quoted. For posterity (bold added by me):

This 2007 997 turbo GT2 I actually owned about four years ago and then I sold it and regretted selling it and I’ve been trying to get it back ever since, I just recently tracked it down and got it back and put all of the finishing touches on the car, it’s so badass! Most the modifications and mechanical upgrades were done by the an owner in Colorado. They put a lot of money and time into the car, the first time I bought it I had all the service records it was very extensive, the coolant lines alone were about 11 grand, a lot of the mechanical work was done in Colorado, the car has been very well-maintained. Lots of maintenance. Lots of love and care has been put into this car. It’s very reliable very very quick and very light. Just an overall blast to drive!

Just to clarify - 'braking' or 'breaking'?

Seller's name is Patrick Mitchell. Lives in Midlothian. He is in his 30s and owns a very big house, two "businesses" (one I couldn't find), and one of them is in the back yard of a house (just a big garage).
Pinnacle Performance (his car shop)
Marshall's Body and Paint (his "body" shop)
He wouldn't tell me what he does for a living and says it is "hard to explain".
I'm also the current top bidder.

I don't understand the appeal of the online retail bidding sites. No visual inspection, no PPI, no recourse on a bad deal except to maybe get your fee back if you have enough muscle. It's a match made in heaven for the sleazy used car dealer to link up with the dolt with poor impulse control. I can see playing the game to maybe get lucky on a low ball bid, but offering anything close to retail? Crazy.

I was not able to find him or any of his businesses in the State of Virginia motor vehicle database.
But he claims to be a California dealer.

New development. The seller of the car on Cars and Bids uses an email address that has previously been used by someone named Mary. She lives on Long Island. Jared's seemingly infinite funding for cars and expensive parts while living in a 500 sqft house in Long Island seems a little bit more suspicious than before. Maybe he was connected to a shady car dealer in Midlothian the whole time? As I find more I will update.
The plot thickens.

For the record there are shops in the Greater Seattle region that charge more than $11k to do the full welded coolant lines service on Mezger engines. I personally chose a more affordable shop to do that to my own GT2, but they were a bit further from the city. I suspect the service would cost considerably less in other regions of course but my only point is that $11k isn't crazy depending on where you live and who you choose to do the work.
