Hi to open mine, my Indy had to heat up the casing and bearing as the shaft OD is bigger than bearing ID (If I remember correctly 0.2mm difference)

Default 718 2.0 PDK 2G2.300.011.10

Hi
First, thank you so much for compiling all these info.
really it makes it much easier when you arrive with a 27 pages document full of info to start the discussion with professionals.

now my questions
- does all these apply to 718 2018 PDk
- what means CG 200, CG220, CG240, ...
- does anyone know the difference between
718 2.0 2018 PDK 2G2.300.011.10 and
987.2 C S 2009 PDK 2G2.300.011.20
looking at PN lists from both cars several parts have the same PN like the Block valve even if noted do not use and gives a newer ref.
obviously it was used at some time.

For info I also got P1768, 1764...
hopefully no P133x do I guess no distance sensor issue I cross the finger.
this morning I contact the guy on Alibaba (link in the original post) and he quotes 4000$ for the speed and distance sensor 🥳🥳

this Morning i also got misfit
ring and fuel pressure error, my Indy will check spark plugs, coils ... tomorrow but I wonder how it could affect or generate transmission error

Now I have to finish the disassemble, weld the body and put back together. Will make pictures and post here.

However I already have an issue. End caps are really 2 parts left one is taken from the 981 PDK and right one is new bought from dealer. As you can see the replacement one is just a plastic insert and I cannot find where to get external rubberized metal cap. It is the same for both caps.

Does anyone know where to get those? I could not find a way to take them off without destroying.
i ordered the ones from a 997 not sure the size is the same.
i also found these ref. In the 718 Cayman( see attachments)

so, update on a slow progress of reverse engineering this thing... I have managed to replicate the output of the 4 channels needed to repair gear distance sensor.

Next step is to test it inside the transmission, we will know more in few days/weeks.

Don’t you think it would be easier to make the body with fibers/Kevlar and hot temperature epoxy instead of CNC an aluminum block?

possibly…

but since ZF and Porsche have used aluminium, I think I would stick to that… not sure what the torque is for the 3 bolts holding it in place and I would not want to experiment with it.

thats the tricky one, I’d rather not… as soon as I post it here someone with a bit more time than me will be selling it.

Once it’s confirmed working we can discuss how this should move forward….

not naive

if I knew that releasing this info will force ZF/porsche to sell this part, I would have a 10 page pdf up in 2 hours.

Problem for Porsche is if they start selling the part, they have to have trained technicians to replace it as well… and that ain’t going to happen
