Default 285 vs 305

On my 05 C2 lowered suspension sits on 285/30R19 - 235/35R19. I have a opportunity to purchase a great set of used Perelli P Zero’s after one season only. Problem is rear are 305/30R19 and fronts match up the same at 235/35R19. Will this work upgrading on rear size? or will I run into issues as in running performance or rubbing on quarter panel lip? I’m not sure if these are stock rims with this model or even if there 11” or 11.5” rims here’s a pic of rims

any advice would be greatly appreciate

If you really are running 285’s you are running the wrong size tire. 295 or 305 is what you should be running on the 19” rims.

Countless people run 305/30/19 on 19x11 with out the slightest issue, including myself with my alternate lobster forks with Bridgestones. With that said I swear Pirelli loves to make their performance tires wider than advertised. Still think you will be golden.

I was very surprised also with 285 on there. I did my research and the 295 kept coming up being right size , but wasn’t sure on 305

I ran the 305s on lobsters too. I run the same tires on GT3 wheels now. On the lobsters they were pretty squared off (see pic). On the GT3 wheels, they look a bit stretched to me.

are you running any spacers on the back? I’m running 15 mm spacers which I will have to downgrade to 10mm if going with 305 I’m assuming.

I see about the square look your saying. The
MICHELIN’S are a more rounded look and fit

Oh, yeah, sorry. 15mm all around. I can try to post pics. from other angles but there was no chance of rubbing even at full compression.

results on different wheels might vary of course. PS4S

also, note the difference on the GT3 wheels:

I might not be saying it right but there is more "bulge" on the lobsters and more "stretch" on the wider lower offset GT3 wheels. 5mm spacers on the GT3 wheels.
Also, PS4S.

Size is not a problem but have you seen the tires? Just curious since "one season only" could mean different things. If a northern car it could simply mean March or April through November or December. Or it could mean one track season which for a dedicated track rat could mean a whole different level of wear.

In the picture of the wheel you posted, the valve stem is in exactly the wrong place for me to be able to make out the wheel width and offset (those are the 2 numbers embossed by the valve stem). It's possible someone but a 10" wide Boxster / Cayman wheel on the rear of your 911 and why it's running a narrow tire, Make sure the wheel is an 11" wheel before deciding to proceed. If you end up needed new wheels, the 12" rear from the GTS or 11.5" from some of the aftermarket (Champion, etc) are a better fit for the wider rubber. On my 12" wide rears, I run 305s but my next set will be 315s or 325s.

on OEM wheels, it is usually pantographed on either side of the valve stem.

As James and I stated, there are 2 numbers next to the valve stem on almost all OEM Porsche wheels (I see them in your pic but can't make them out). One number is the wheel width and the other the offset like on this Cayenne wheel I sold. 10" width / offset 50
