My coworker is offering me her 2007 red, manual 997 73k miles
I have service records from 40k on.
75000 mile service was done last year. I did not see plugs and wires but it got a new water pump.
Looks like 2007 MY are clear of IMS and piston wall scoring issues.
Clutch seems fine and shifts smoothly.
I believe there are 3 owners. One being her father who gave her the car.
She let me take it home for the weekend.
is this something i should move on? Or will maintenance really start to climb as it heads towards 100k?
Also, keep in mind any M97 engine can still suffer the IMS woes. They changed the bearing to a larger bearing in the latter years of the 997.1, but the issue remained until the 997.2 and the DFI engine.
In summation, do your research, and move on the car if it is what you want. No interior pics but the outside looks good. Bonus points for manual.
At 73k+ miles I don’t see a clutch job on any of the maintenance. Is it possible to go this long without clutch replacement?
Most of the service was done at
