LAPower bluetooth?

OK.. Update on "AUX IN" function. So a little of bit user error and confusion. Basically you can not have Bluetooth connection enabled with Mr12Volt and then plug in the AUX cable. The BT connection will override the AUX in Sound... If BT is disabled on your phone then AUX IN will work just fine and sounds great. I guess in a scenario where you do have BT connection and your passenger wants to hear music from their phone then they could use the AUX jack and you would then just "change modes" from BT to AUX IN to listen to a second device. So ignore my previous post about cycling through the CD button to get sound to return. So now I have a AUX IN jack extension working and running to my center console along with USB charger.
Another observation about the SD 32 gig card. I created 6 Folders. each folder can hold up to 99 songs. You can use the "Change Mode" option to switch from BT, AUX IN, and CD List. A bit of a bummer is that when you look at the "CD List" you will see disc 1, 2 ,3, 4, 5, Change Mode... Folder/Disc 6 is not showing as available to chose, which is kind of a bummer.
Other than that small hiccup I am very happy with the sound quality and function of Mr12Volt. I would not hesitate to get it for 1st gen PCM's. Makes me feel like I have an updated system!

I have a couple of issues with mine.
1. I can't seem to transfer phone numbers over to the unit
2. Sometimes there is no sound at all, from the radio or the bluetooth - any ideas?

The microphone that comes with the mr12v is mounted by most somewhere visible. I didn't like the look of it hanging from the visor or mounted on the instrument panel.
The enfig mike goes in the factory location: https://enfigcarstereo.com/ENFIG_MIC_POR1.html
mr12v has USB and audio input jack.

Use power source auxiliary power outlet in the passengar footwell just behind right side of radio.
I followed the tip here: https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...l#post15960225
I attached the ground wire to the metal brace supporting the center console as mentioned in the thread and no more whining sound.

I was thinking the same but auxiliary power is constant on (ignition off) and afraid draining the battery if tap here.

Actually I have my power tapped into the same power wire as the PCM unit.. It's a bit more time to get to by removing the pcm unit, but not too bad. It's the thicker red/green wire. You will also see a thicker brown wire for ground next to it, but stick to the advice of grounding it to the chassis.

Too friggn cool! Mr12volt installed and flawless. Worried for nothing. Just had to steal plug off harness that goes to mr12 volt. Threw the old mObride out.
phone works and apple play sounds awesome! FM radio wasn’t doing Bose system justice. Already had a smile driving but this notched it up!

I never had the whining noise but I assume this related to grounding.
The power outlet in the footwell works great for me.
I'm working on my middle console painting project and added an USB and AUX extension cord in the cubby before painting.

I just did the install this morning in a 997TT. Placed the unit behind the PCM with velcro. Removed an old Parrot and NAV-TV. Unit pairs instantly and recalls last song played everytime. Re-used Parrot microphone off the A - pillar and ran the lightning cable into the cubby beneath the HVAC controls. Very pleased with this unit!!

kudos to you for tackling this project... stripping the soft oem paint is a major P.I.T.A... so tell us how you stripped the old paint off and also about where you got the usb/Aux jack plug in. Any DIY info is cool to have around.

i replaced my shifter cables ~2 probably closer to 3 month ago and while I was "there", I took my interior apart to get it painted.
Over several weeks I sanded the pieces free from scratches and the peeling black color.
Alcohol wet towels helped a lot, sanding and a lot of water rubbing (just in water with hand rubbing, color comes good off) helped a lot.
I bought the USB extension from eBay. LINK
While the housing was to tall to look good, I took a saw and shortened the housing to sit flush in the console.
The location of the USB/ Aux was crucial to me, while there is a rounded area next to the cigarette lighter, I rounded the housing of the USB plug with my dremmel.
For the hole in the console, I made a drawing on paper, Cut it out and sticked it on the console. To get the location right, I drilled the four corners and cut it out with a dremmel tool.
This is how it sits right now since I want to have the console and pieces PPF protected before they go in.
