In Georgia law enforcement can pace you from in front of behind.
I got a speeding ticket following a Highway Patrol car that was being driven 15 mph over the posted limit. His blue lights were not on. I wasn't very close behind him.

That appears to be a double standard, especially if his lights were not on.
Once, when I was coming out of Fort Mac, a Horseman can screaming up behind me, then turned on his lights, I started to pull over, and he blew past, turned his lights off. I proceeded to follow him for the next 200kms where he averaged about 120mph. At the end of the road, he went straight, I went west, and, slowed down.
Best run ever on that stretch; took me an hour to do what usually takes two and a half.
Another time, heading north from Valemont BC, about 10 clicks from the AB/BC border on #5, it was about 0530 summer, and I wasn't speeding, but as I came around a corner, my radar lit up and I got hard on the brakes. This, of course, got the attention of the Horseman and he pulled me over. He stated he was curious about a) how I slowed down so fast (apparently went from 62mph to under 40 in one scan) and b) wanted to see if I was smuggling drugs (probable grounds?). Anyways, I let him search the car and had a pleasant chat with him, then he says, 'I'm going back to Hinton, follow me...'
BEST RUN EVER THROUGH JASPER!
He ran 220 to 240kmh the entire way... then, I slowed down.

Conversely, it also goes the other way - one time, while heading south from Jasper, pulled out from gas directly behind a Horsemen and was promptly stuck doing just under the limit for 200kms to Valemont.
