$63K with the BAT buyers premium... Still climbing. Will hit high seventies with premium?

I love 996TT's, but I have mixed feelings about this car... Perfect to put in a collection (if anyone actually wants to collect 996TT's), but as a driver everyday supercar, I'm not sure paying a huge premium for a car that sat without being driven for most of 15 years is really the way to go.

It will probably go for over $70k. Super low milage examples are disappearing fast.

I'd love to see this go for big money (will make me feel better about what I paid for my 03 X50 ).

That said, if this was an X50 car I'd be putting my car up on the market haha. I love red!

Come drive my Turbo again with the new Cobb tune on it, might have you rethinking the need for an X50 car!

I agree. I've been watching this one since it came on BAT. I think regardless of where it ends up, the mileage, exterior color, interior color and year will provide a very good idea of how the market values the 996TT for the near future. The entire BAT concept is a good representation of the pure open market so sale prices should be representative of current value. I'm not necessarily cheering for higher prices; I really don't care since I'm not selling my car now, and higher prices just means higher agreed value policies I need to have in place.

It's funny when I see complaints that the car has been sitting for a time. People want low mileage cars but they want it driven. How do you get a 14 year old car with 6k miles and drive it every day?

I would buy this car, change all the fluids, hoses, belts, plugs, coils, etc. and not be concerned that it has sat. I've had to go into oil refineries and restart units that have sat moth balled for 15 years. Once maintenance on all the mechanical components is completed, I have not seen any higher failure rates for them as I do for motors and mechanicals that have been running for this entire period. When all is said and done, a car is just a mechanical piece of equipment; from a maintenance and reliability standpoint.

I'm shocked it hasn't started to shoot up yet - still at 60,500.

With BAT auctions the bidding usually picks up pace in the final hour.

I am sorry, but I can't remember the exact amount. I want to say in the high 60's. The seller purchased from a woman who hardly driven it.

Yes. A little surprising. I called that one wrong.

Plus the 5% buyers premium, $66.7 to Buyer. Plus I predict at least $5K+ in age related deferred maintenance to get it well sorted.

Too many nice 997.1 TT's at $70K for it to go much higher IMHO.

Not to beat a dead horse to death, but I wouldn't trade my 996tt for an equal mileage and color 997tt for flat money.
