Cheapo for an essentially brand new car, if you ask me. I thought it would go with an 8 handle.

Wishful thinking on the price? http://www.ebay.com/itm/2001-Porsche...5ZVr0L&vxp=mtr
Yes, I think so. We see 20K mile cars for sale here, not all the time but they're still out there.
But 3-5K mile cars are quite uncommon.

The low mileage 997.1TT mezgers will not be reasonably priced for long.

I am a newbie to this site, so be gentle. I own several collector cars, including a 68 Shelby gt500, a factory Austin Healey 100m, as well as an 89 Porsche Speedster. I tell you this just to reference that I do have a little experience buying special "keeper" cars. Here is a short saga of my search for a 2005 Porsche 996 turbo s convertible. I started my search back in early 2015. I did not want a silver or black car. I wanted a low mileage, stock , convertible ( I live in northeast Ohio), one owner car, with a manual transmission, that I could keep for a long time and enjoy. It was a difficult search. It took me until August of 2016 ( a year and a half search), to finally find the right car. Any nice version of my expectation was gobbled up in record time. Several cars found their way back to Europe. I got close a few times but the nice cars disappeared fast. Traveling to see cars, inspections, and the man hours associated with the search is very time consuming. To make a long story short I found a nice seal gray car with a boxster red interior with 8600 miles. It was a beauty. I had it inspected by a local dealership and bought the car. I overpaid for the car. My time is too valuable and the number of years I have left to enjoy this beauty were not getting longer. I paid $74,000 for the car. The money is nice but the car is nicer. I enjoy every minute I am behind the wheel. Every man has to follow his dream.
