Once the COVID inflation fades prices probably will not crash. They will stagnate and plateau for while then continue to climb higher. It's what classic 911 pricing has always done.

Taking bets on how long before the first IMS question pops up.

Why does the seller specifically specify these turbochargers? were they replaced and if so why would anyone replace them in a car with such low mileage?

Modifications include a 996 TT exhaust system, twin Garrett GT28 turbochargers, and a Revo Stage 2 software update.

It's just a modified 996 Turbo. There is no minimum mileage required before modifying a car.

thanks for the info but owning a stock one I like the idea of keeping it close to stock but I could see where the exhaust could sound better

Turbos, exhaust and a tune are bolt on, bolt off, so reverting to "stock" is easy.

When I got my Turbo I was compelled to address the exhaust sound, the ride height, and the ropy shifter. I also thought the car needed another 100 or so horsepower and torque.

I'm thinking you are the only original 996 Turbo owner left. I am also thinking your Turbo is very close to being worth what you paid for it. How cool is that.

Thanks.

I think Oak, who posts here sometimes, is also an original owner.

I've got every receipt for everything I've ever had done to the car, and a log of everything I have personally done to the car (like oil changes, plugs, etc.)

I've thought about what I'd do if someone offered me what I paid for the car, and as of today my answer would be "no thanks." However there is some price that would cause me to say "yes." I just don't know what that price is.

It's not a Turbo, but pretty amazing opportunity for someone here:

I'm always torn about these collector cars... I've learned that I am a driver that enjoys great cars, and while I appreciate rarer cars, I'm not a collector. Paying large premiums for rarity that is out of whack with the increase in driving enjoyment doesn't work for me.

The sweet spot for me is a car that is unusual enough to be of interest, but one that I can put miles and modifications on without hurting value, and of course great driving experience bang-for-the-buck. A car that is unlikely to have large depreciation and perhaps some upside opportunity, but I'll "invest" elsewhere.
