Oh dear... you know your car is not a 996 turbo, right? Hope that doesn't ruin your excitement!

I know. I posted on the wrong board I guess. I tried to delete the post but for some reason I can't seem to find the delete button. I belong to a couple other forums for hobbies I'm involved in and it's the same format but this one is a bit different.

That would make a great track car, though.

Its interesting cabs were not really in vogue when I bought mine, but now they appear to sell just as well. I had the opportunity three years ago to buy a later 04/05 cab S for what would now be considered a steal. I was tired of cabs coming from a 986 and wanted a coupe.

Default Paint to sample 2004

Well, I know it's not to everyone's taste, but I think its fun so am posting about it here (no affiliation at all to the dealership or car) : 2004 996 turbo in paint to sample "Ocean Jade Metallic" with the matching interior leather-- kind of lighter aqua in the pictures. Only has 19K miles on it. For sale at Rosner Toyota in Virginia-- weird, but they have other older high end cars for sale including a Countach and a 993 turbo. They are asking $59,990.

I didn't think any GT2s were produced in the 2001 model year.

If I decode the VIN on the "GT2", it comes up as a 2001 GTx coupe with 375 hp??? Some telltale wording in the add also " as close to factory specs as possible". Sure looks nice though.

Per VIN, real GT2...early Euro/Club car.... 1 second/very easy to tell a 6GT2 by VIN
