That is interesting; once I put in the GT2 brackets and new liners after my failure, I have not had any rubbing issues whatsoever, I have not rolled my fenders either.

the only reason to roll the fender would be if i put a spacer on, it will bump the wheel out a bit and i didn't want to catch the lip on the fender... just precaution...

i'm sure i'd be fine as is... if i can fit a piece of paper in there in theory it's not touching... it's just the driver side that has a slight hangup to clear... i'll try and use a prybar between the tire and liner tonight to see if i can just make a mm of space... all in all i'm happy with the look and can't wait to get the front done to drive it this summer!!!

I finally got a few moments of solidarity this weekend once the wife and kids were asleep to get my car in the air and get the car ready for summer.
- Scrubbed the fenderwells
- "Polished" the fender liners (put plastic restorer on them to brighten them up)
- Cleaned the calipers and put some touch up paint on them (they need to be refinished/rebuilt, but I'll wait until winter for that) then ceramic coated them
- Mounted my new wheels on the car. Finally.

Just need to put the final touches on the new exhaust (weld the tips on) then the car is ready for summer.

I paid the bill and brought her home from the shop. I've finally reached a point in life where I look at rusty exhaust studs and say "nope, somebody else can deal with those because it is just going to take me 3x longer than planned".

New belt, water pump, thermostat, CSF radiators, tranny and diff fluid, plugs, coils, turbine heat shields, passenger side grill insert, and two O2 sensors (they sacrificed their threads to the god of corrosion when trying to swap them to the new exhaust).

And since the exhaust had to come off, I had the shop put on Capt. Obvious's old exhaust because I was never a fan of the angry vacuum cleaner sound of the factory unit.

1 year later. Need to recheck the alignment. New tires installed and rear suspension raised a bit. Much better suspension feel but a vibration at highway speed.
She also got a polish and wax

Vibration at highway speeds is more likely wheel balance than alignment issue.

hard to tell; camera angle and lack of flushness can make a car look high. a car can look lower by just flushing out the wheel. in the scanned in manual that is floating around online it shows where to measure ride height

I personally prefer the raked look on these cars with the rear a little higher than you think it should be, especially if you are running factory-spec tire sizes. If you don't do that, the rear end looks like it's squatting.

Trying out a new exhaust, installed it today. Went from 3" catless x-pipe to 3" catless straight pipes with helmholtz chambers. I'm amazed at how different it sounds. Much more "old school" like an air cooled car now. It's also a lot quieter and lost the rasp at high RPM at full throttle. I'm not sure if I like it yet, just went for a 15 min drive today so will give it a few days. The turbos seem to spool a touch faster, but otherwise no difference in butt dyno. Will get some logs this weekend to see if anything else changed.
Also switched over to a MAFless tune.
