What did you do to your 996TT today?

Tarret only makes the kit for the AWD uprights, not the GT3 ones. My CUP ducts lasted 3 years with heavy track use.

Mine is now in the shop at Sunset Porsche-Audi. We are having all the coolant lines TIG welded, replacing the coolant tank, and we're upgrading to a new Sachs clutch assembly with GTRS 4.0 LWFW. I'm a bit anxious regarding the LWFW and how my car is going to respond.
Thanks to Kevin at UMW for the parts and to Rachel @Sunset for hooking me up with a brand new Audi as a loaner.

Don't feel too bad about the Camry. I had one as a loaner last time and thought it was a pretty decent ride IMO.

The other day, I was in a mood and saw what I perceived as an aggro-douchebag driving his Tesla S P85 rather aggressively without turn signals, making abrupt lane changes. Jackrabbiting from every stop light.
I managed to be get next to him on the last stop light before I280 starts in San Francisco, It's a good 1/4 mile or so, moderately uphill, before a left-hand sweeper. Knew he couldn't resist a Porsche next to him. I normally don't drag race. Couple reasons: 1) I like having my drivers license (instant 8 pt violation, I understand), 2) With the P clutch, when I was just learning it (and before I'd performed the clutch spring mod), I would lose drag races to Priuses. No kidding.
The Tesla S P85 has an official 0-60 time of 4.2 secs. I think my 04 TT x50 has an official time of 3.9. Well, I must've been shifting correctly, because I ended up putting a very significant gap between us. Even in 2nd gear, I was pulling away pretty well.
I reached a pretty high speed then brought it down to my cruising speed on the highway. When he caught up and eventually passed me, he gave me a friendly wave. I had a nice glow the rest of the day in the office.
It's nice to know that I can actually get off the line quickly, and shift fairly quickly after owning the car for 2+ years. With a TTx50, redline in 1st comes really on really ****ing quickly.

Well, what went from just cleaning things up turned into a complete overhaul.
When I went to remove some dried up dirt from the chrome part of the housing it just smeared right off. I thought the chrome would be actual material. Turns out it is on their like wet tissue paper and comes right off. So what started out as just cleaning 1 headlight turned into an overhaul of both.
A before shot on the car and how they are right now. Slowly getting back together just being patient so I don't put fingerprints in the paint.

400 "brisk" miles to Fontana for a Michelin tire test I got invited to tomorrow. Got down here relaxed enough that I got a leisurely round of golf in, too.

Flushed the brake fluid in preparation for track season.

Now just have to figure out the sway bars... I have KW V3s and otherwise stock suspension. Still 95% street driven so quiet links are a must.

With the Eibach, H&R and GNG bars you can use the stock drop links both front and rear so there is no additional noise. You can also fit just an OEM GT3 rear bar with stock links.
