attended the pca la 57th concourse at the petersen auto museum as an entry in the street division, it was the most competitive class. I ended up as the winner in a tie count back with another beautiful black 996tt. I didn't think I had a chance as the most cleanest porsches in the area were present and the competition was intense. I was so caught up in the moment of winning the class, I didn't hear the announcer call my name for the overall class champion! it was a perfect so cal sunny day and the turn out was unreal. couldn't ask for a more perfect day. thank you to all the sponsors, volunteers, members, and the petersen automotive museum for such a memorable day.

That newly painted center console put you over the top.

Nice work! The BBS wheels and factory aero kit is a plus as well.

lol not sure, but to my surprise the interior is where the tie breaker was won. judges gave me a 100 points out of 100. the other 996tt owner said he got .1 deducted for dust on the gear shift.

was not sure how the judges would feel about showing up "outlaw" as most concours are about originality.. I guess in the division I entered they didn't mark down points for modifications. It’s official my track, canyon slammer is a concourse garage queen. 😂

with the crew of detailers this entrant had I was surprised they missed the dust.. I felt bad for him.

Outstanding concours. Lots of great cars. My former 996TT showed up and I got to see what the new owner had done to it -- all impressive stuff. Scott Kelly and his posse were there. Oak, your car looked great. Love the BBSs. The 996TT contingent was well represented.

A friend of mine -- John Esposito -- had restored the '67S that took the overall win.

techweenie, thank you, I wish I would had the opportunity to have met up with you. would the grey long nose next to the black speedster your friends 67S? I looked through the official entry list and didn't see your friends name or 67S listed.

Bought a GT3 RS MK2 Decklid replica made for the TT. Picture shows a car from a friend of mine who has one already.

I pulled the alternator the other day and changed the voltage regulator, and reinstalled it today and she is charging at the proper voltage now.

The gray car is a 69 E that belongs to a guy in AZ. His restorer lives here and always seems to have the car at shows. It's superb. The 67 S is Bahama Yellow.

I'm sure we'll meet up at some point. Just got back from Rennsport today. 996TTs well represented there!
