I've run 305 - 30 X 19 on rear with no issue.
Wait, do you mean your 245/40/19s rub or your 245/40/18s rub?

For Michelin PS2, I used: 315/30/18 (diameter 25.5) and 235/40/18 (diameter 25.4)
For R7 245/35/18 and 315/30/18
For Pirelli take offs, 245/645/18 and 305/645/18
My fenders are rolled.
Hope this helps.

245 - 35 X 19 do not rub.
245 - 40 X 18 do.

I typically use 235 - 40 X 18 with good success.

Cheers

Was there a fire? Hit the rear end? Owner says it was in green group? Thanks.

Dang! I am conflicted since everything I have been researching was to run 245/40/18 NT01 fronts! Now I have to rethink everything,

NT01s might work.
Yoko Advan AD08 R do not, but they have a very square tread profile all the way to the sidewalls.

Probably best to ask here specifically about the Nitto fitment.

I run that size NT01 on OZ wheels in the front with no problems. I can actually put my finger tip between the fender and tire. The fenders are rolled which may be the ticket.

Wow. 80k for a rebuild titled 24k mile example. Wonder what it would have listed at if it had a clean title?

just installed 245/35/18 Toyo R888Rs and 315/30/18s rear. We would have gone with 255s up front, but the 9” wheels I thought I bought turned out to be missdvertised 8”s.

lots of camber, bump steer, no rubbing— room for a bit more.

I am pretty sure that car was for sale here on Rennlist a few years ago. If I remember the story correctly, an upset ex-girlfriend destroyed the car. Their asking price definitely seems optimistic with the salvage title.

They're dreaming. I sold my rebuilt title 6GT3 last year, and got nowhere near that price.

A rebuilt car sells for about 2/3 of the regular market price.

News Flash: IF you buy a salvage title car YOU OWN IT; perhaps for a long time until someone else comes along who doesn't care. These are hot-potatoes and shouldn't ever be considered as any sort of investment.
IMHO, they are best used as track rats or as a blank canvas for Akira Nakai to "finish off". Or not.

I've only seen one car that was totaled and sold with a clean Carfax because it happened at the track and it was bought it "as is" from the owner and repaired. The entire FRONT CLIP. How'd you like to buy that one?

None of these cars are investments. For everyone that had made money with one, and I know a few, probably 95% or more do not.

You can find really low mileage examples selling for near the original MSRP. But that car has sat in a temperature-controlled garage ($) insured ($) plated ($) and maintained ($). Then add the cost of money for 15 years and sales tax ($$). What is the point of that? You didn't get to drive it.

You can still own one for a bunch of years and not lose much money when you sell it, which is great. But it is still not an investment.

Find one you like, take it to the track and enjoy it. That is what these cars were meant to do. They create an excitement on the track which is indescribable.
