Ha! Looks good on them.
Hopefully the recall is issued and i get a free coolant hose upgrade.

Id say the 2008 models were manufactured in 2007 thus they fall under same recall claim.

Where is my 2005 GT3 on this list? Same goes for the 2005 996 GT2. For those in contact with an investigator please let him/her know that there database is incorrect/incomplete. FWIW I have sent an email to NTHSA notifying them of this omission.

Thanks.

That would be nice, I blew one on the street and one on the track then dropped the motor to have them welded.

10 cases? From reading this board I would have thought there were 100's.

That's strange because the link pulls up when I click on it. I can be technically challenged though, so if anyone has a suggestion I'm happy to try it.

Just curious - has anybody had a line blow on a car that has NEVER been on the track?

last month i was at Willow Springs (big track) - met a guy with 07 blk gt3... 2 sessions later.. booom.. coolant hose blew out spilling crap load on the track and he spun out into dirt... scary... His first time on the track and he got the car used recently he says. I felt bad as he had to two his car 120 miles back home at noon. Car has less than 20k miles.

Point is.. it can happen.. more on older cars than newer cars. If you drop your engine for whatever reason, just get Shark coolant pipes installed and sleep better at night.
