run a set of forgeline and ccw's 18x9 and 18x11 same size on both..oem wheels for street

no problems with fitment

mike, yeah but with a 3 and 5 yr old, im lucky to make it one or 2 days a month to sebring..i think sebring is real tough on tires...on the other hand road atlanta is super smooth..although i got two flats there last summer...i'm gonna try the hoosier crack next....

It's possible. Who knows? They were better the first time I ran them last month.

Haven't had them on the track yet. The last event my last set of hoosiers held up and I didn't see the need and was to lazy to try them out.

Anybody ever mount a Khumo 305 on a 11 inch wheel?

TIA
I'm running a 12" wheel and my rears look like they barely fit. Its really really stretched. So much so that when you stack the wheels its metal on metal as the tires aren't wide enough to act as a buffer. I would think they would be fine on a 11" wheel in comparison to mine.

Sorry guys I posted the wrong spec on the wheel. I've got them on 12's and they are just like described above.

DD95 have you had any issues running them on 12's?

TIA

You and I will meet in the squared circle one of these days. I'm starting to think you're intentionnaly arranging your schedule so we don't run together

Glad I didn't have to revive this one mySELF

New Khumo dealer came to the track yesterday and will be importing down here soon but only 245/280 wide 18s. He doesn't want to have much variance in stock. Our michelins, dunlops are 300+. Will the narrowing compromise the grip more than is worth it? 30+ ht-cycs sounds great tho. Ps - I'm still running on semis as crack is whack.

After trying one set, I don't think the grip is anywhere near a hoosier and I certainly didn't get the same life as some people are reporting. 18 HC's and they were done due to structural issues and cracking on the inside. Might have been a bad set... Not to mention the tires look super stretched on the rim. I'm glad some of you like them but I'll pass on the Kumhos in the future.

thanks DD - interesting pov. I guess the proof is in the trial so I'll likely try them out once but the 280s sound a bit narrow. Mike, how does megan feel about slimmer sneakers?

I saw a Khumo 710 tire off the rim a few days ago that was de-laminating from the inside.
When you looked inside the tire, the sidewall was partially detached from the tread. It looked perfectly normal from the outside.
The tire had two days on it.
The owner reported that he had two other tires with issues last fall.
One was a bubble on a sidewall and the other was the tread splice opening up.
For the record, I don't race and like tires with more bang for the buck. I run Nitto's and get over 60 HC's on them.
I think they are great fun and are a big part in my improvement as a driver.
If I was going to move up I'd go to the 710's but watch them closely from what I have seen recently.
Anyone unhappy with their Nitto's send them to me!!

That's exactly what was happening to mine. Luckily I took them in to get flipped before an event and the tire tech caught it. One tire was really bad. The other 3 were starting to show signs of the same thing. Supposedly I am getting a refund on the set. I will say they stepped up and did the right thing. Their customer service is very good. The fact that my tires were about to come apart is a little frightening, but they were at least stand up about it. Back to hoosiers for the time being. Supposedly Toyo is re releasing the RA1 this summer, molded to 4/32 (no more shaving), in GT3 18" sizes. That will be the ticket. Slower than a hoosier, but a very fast tire and you can get 3 sets of fronts to a rear.
