so far i like kuhmos...drove for 5 yrs street tires, then r888's and nittos for 2, last yr running kuhmos ..dropped 1-2 sec sebring...but i only get 16 hc's i corded inside rears despite flipping tires ...making some alignment adjustments to increase tire wear..i am on my 3rd and 4th set and run the 245 squares / 305's rear as they are closer to stock heights...(wheel and tire) never had the delamination deputydog issue. gonna try hoosiers next...

Why did you choose the rounded over the square? Tire Rack has both available, so I am trying to decide...

Blake,

I bought these last fall and they did not have the 245/35 in a square profile to match the rears. I called Kumho and they said no problem plus Tirerack put me in touch with another guy using the same setup on a 6GT3 and he was happy. I really wanted to go with the 245/35 to get more fender clearance in the front as the car is very low and I had already ripped out a fender liner with the 40 series Nittos....even with 800 lb front springs. Plus I thought the extra rake would help keep the front end down at speed. So far so good at both Chuckwalla and Spring Mountain as I was the fastest street car at both events.
Spring Mountain was running the 2.9 mile configuration which features a bumpy very high speed (130+) chicane. the car was still a bit floaty but not as bad as it was running the climbing S's at VIR with softer springs and the 40 series Nittos. I like the combination using the shorter fronts. Next I'm going to try the Hoosiers so that I can get a 255/35 front to see if the braking improves.

No issues with ABS or anything due to the rolling diameter difference I assume?

I think the round up front vs square would be better. If u put the 35 vs 40 together side by side the round is wider ie more contact patch which is good for our cars. Mike

I ran mixed profiles in the kumhos out of necessity. That was all that fit in the 997 fitments. No issues. With that being said, I now have two stacks of hoosiers. Done with K's...

Are H's similar prices to K's?

Yep, allegedly the K's last longer. I didn't have that experience. I don't find the K's nearly as fast either.

huh, would have thought otherwise, good to know.

(my cheap *** will still probably just buy Nitto's and go slide around on them all season to keep costs down )

What alignment settings are you guys running with the Kuhmo's? Particularly those of you getting 30+ heat cycles out of them.

Camber -3.2 front -3 rear toe in rear 0 toe front on stock rim size/offset caster ~ 8. This is driving to/for track. I flipped once and rotate side to side 4 times. 40 psi going to/fro track 30-31 hot on track. Mike

I'm a little confused... -3 rear toe, or -3 rear camber?

Thx

Here is the translation. FWIW, -3 rear toe would be CRAZY. Mike didn't give you the toe-in amount. It's like .13' or so.

Camber -3.2 front -3 rear

Toe in rear
0 toe front on stock rim size/offset

caster ~ 8.

This is driving to/for track.

I flipped once and rotate side to side 4 times.
40 psi going to/fro track 30-31 hot on track. Mike

Cool - thanks. My real intent was to drill down on the rear toe numbers that you guys are running. My current set-up has 0 in front, and 2-3mm per wheel in the rear. I am about to get another alignment after buying new tires (Kumho or R6s - done with MSCs), so wanted to double check...
