This thread just keeps getting better. Also damn, those DBcarbon center consoles are a bargain, you might make me just pick up some bits from them. Center console and the door handles/armrests sounds like a nice package.

I think you have to screw the belt into the seat.

@JJT No, please don’t delete them. Thank you very much for these… it has me questioning how I have the 3-point belt anchored now. The PDF you attached was for 6-point belts. In another thread Ray posted workshop instructions for 3-point with a 6-point and the are both anchored to the seat block with the spacer between them.

Folks who run a 3-point with the euro buckets, where are you anchoring the seat belt? Chassis or seat block?

My car is a factory Clubsport and both the three point and the harness are anchored on the seat block.

In European buckets I think that the correct thing is to anchor all the belts in the seat.

Amazing write up! I love the sonar perfect finish and the chemical guy’s products. I can’t remember seeing a nicer looking 996 gt3! Showed your pictures to my wife and she got very interested in getting a gt3 now lol. Looking forward to hearing if you find much difference in drive with the guards lsd. I’ve had a similar upgrade with shims added to my 997,2 Gt3rs and it was fantastic.

@Body In White is exactly the guy I want to *buy* a car from! ( Of course he likely never sells any of his babies after putting all that work into making them flawless ;-) )

You all are so kind. It has been rewarding to share this with everyone -- lot's of nice questions and suggestion in my PMs. I now wish I had done a journal when I sorted my 997.2 GT3.

Do you have the paint codes for the wheels? The black and the silver.

Thanks a lot

@JJT the black was powder coated, then they painted the silver outline with 9A1 and cleared everything.

Thank you, I fell in love with your wheels. I have an unused game. I'm going to try to see how your colors look with the metallic black of the car.

I see both. but the correct way is to mount the 3pt belt to the seat upright (the block).
you can also mount the 5/6 pt belt to the same bolt. I also seen THAT BOLT replaced with an EYE BOLT. the eye bolt secures the 3 point belt like a regular bolt, and the 5/6 pt belt has a clip and clips to the EYE part, the clip then locked out with a little cotter pin.

Thanks for the correct info, folks. I got the 3-point belt correctly installed now. I should have known... the seat adjuster slides much easier now. 🤦‍♂️
