We've seen the bottom of the 996 market I am fairly sure... I see more and more people keeping their cars and "restorations" have begun for the 996 already.

FWIW I prefer the 996 over the 997.

Simpler, more raw, and the car feels smaller, feels lighter and more nimble.

He's been driving all night, so he can't post!

He'll wait until he gets to work, that is if he didn't call in sick, to drive more!

I met the transport at Love's Truckstop 7 miles from the house last night at 8:30ish. I saw it from the street while it was still on the trailer and I got goose bumps. Pulled in and there she was. When the car was being taken off the trailer the exhaust note with the Fisters/200 cell cats/X51 headers made my heart beat a bit faster. Once I got in with the car warmed up all I can say is......Sweet Geebus Mother of Pearl!!! This is really going to be a fun car. It's been a wait alright but damn this is worth it.

Here are a few pics with the car on the trailer and parked where she belongs!

Congrats Pete.

So why Lobsters on the driver side and something else on the passenger?

Time discrepancy between pics. Let's just say Pete works really fast.

Yeah the wheels......car came with the lobsters. The rubber on them are winter Pirelli's. A few months back Suncoast had a REAL GOOD deals on Carrera Sport II's so I bought and put MSSP's on them. The rear rubber is 305 on 19's. The pic in the garage was after I changed the wheels out. You can see the stack of wheels in the background of the Winter set.

It's currently 79 and sunny here in Hoosierville and I feel a scratchy froat coming on...

Fantastic news Pete! I'm ready to see it in person and "assist" in the break in period.
