Well why shouldn't we be continuing a thread 2 years after it started and over a year after the motor in question was replaced?

See, this is the kind of thread that scares a guy like me looking to buy a 996 to death! Have the day off from work and just got done reading all 52 pages. This thread just convinced me to keep looking another couple of months and use the time to save up some extra $$$ to get a low(er) mile one, but even then, no guarantees....right?
