The ad says that he's running steel rotors, so he's already bitten that particular bullet.
Ahh. Then WTF does he advertise PCCB for?
OK, I see how I missed it. He says it has PCCB in the first line. Then later he says it has PCCB, but follows that with it not really having PCCB anymore
The vehicle is also equipped with the factor PCCB yellow calipers and carbon ceramic rotors. I am currently running steel rotors with high friction pads.
If he took off the rotors before they got too pitted you are good to go. It's easy to do and preserves the resale. They are capable of 150k+ if you treat them right and always change the pads at around 50% wear.
Follow at your own risk, but it's not so much "approaching" as trying to find it in your rear view mirror...
Ouch. You could buy another clean 996 for that money. There is a 2 year, unlimited mileage warranty on them though. Wonder if you can get enough track use in to get a second set for free in that time period.
Hmmm.. It has PCCB. My guess is he A) found out it needs a brake job and B) what those bastards cost!
What's with the front spoiler being multi colored?
Looks like it's wet in the picture? Seems like a pretty solid deal, almost suspiciously so... listed in charlotte craigslist, but is WAY up in roanoke, VA
That is a fair asking price for the car. The 04TT I was looking at before the C4S started out around this price point. It was a cab, X50, TipS. More miles. Got a sketchy PPI (~$10k worth of work) so I passed. The TT's are pricey to maintain. BTW, it looks like the front splitter in aftermarket.
