^ Nah, seems completely legit to me. I'm sending them a $5,000 deposit via Western Union as we speak. Seller is a really nice Nigerian prince who just needs cash so that he can get to his $500 million inheritance that has been tied up in court. So, sucks for him that he's letting the car go so cheaply, but I'll end up the big winner in the whole deal. I feel good about the transaction. I don't see how I can lose.

Ironically, I have a friend that decided to reach out to the seller and see if this is real. If it is, I know he will buy it. If not, he is also an attorney that will spot trouble immediately.

Are you kidding? Red is the only proper color for SoCal. I lived in SoCal for many years, and the only thing I would have is a bright tip cab. Sun, no shifting, crayon color - what's not to love?
'look, it's a black man 911 coupe. Hey, it's a gray man 911 coupe. Over there, a black man 911 coupe, hey wow, a silver man 911 coupe.' yawn

Anyway, I thought Doc had a bright red topless F-car? Maybe he's finally looking to 'upgrade'?

Yes, I'm saying that the desirable Guards Red paint is the highlight of that car, but there's nothing too special about the rest. But absolutely, if it fits the bill for docmirror, the electrical mods are the worst thing I could say about it, and that's not necessarily a problem if done correctly. I'm just always leery of hack jobs on stuff like that.

This bastard had the GALL to advertise this right near me.

Doesn't he know my lack of will power? Doesn't he understand I want a bright cab with AWD? My wife has her eye on an amphibious plane, so I need to check the car budget and see if we can squeeze this little gnack in this month. If it was a tip it would already be in my driveway.

That is near me. Not a cab fan though.

This was my assessment as well. Good color, the rest is fine but doesn't knock me down. I do have a topless F-car, but my wife and kids won't drive it.

Considering getting another 996 (for the wife).

I think Tiptronic would be better for her but the color has her intrigued. Any expert opinions?

I saw that post earlier today, I was going to text the number in the ad but never got around to it. Mileage was a bit of a downer, but if it's been maintained well maybe not a huge problem? Also not a fan of the Sparco buckets that replaced the stock front seats.
If you're looking for a bright 996 cab, there's a Speed Yellow one at Porsche Stevens Creek that also caught my eye for $19.9k.
http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/cto/5406233596.html (actual VIN: WP0AA29992S620691) also seems decent, will be taking a look tomorrow probably.
