The want is strong. Anyone familiar with this beauty? https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cto...424548956.html

that’s something I’d evaluate in negotiating and craft customs repairs these pieces.

Race Car
Both my 996 Turbo's have carbon fiber. It was a very popular option. It's nice to break up the "sea of tan" or "sea of gray" interiors.

CF has been an Exclusiv interior accent material since 993. If cracked or yellowed individual pieces can be easily replaced
My personal favorite 911 interior is 100% Darth Vader black. Barring that, tasteful addition of CF is wholly acceptable to me; although I would not pay additional

I spent several hours this weekend pulling CF pieces from one of my Boxsters. Cracked, faded, laminated, bleh...
Yes, they can be replaced - not cheap. Repaired - yes, but not cheap either.
CF looks terrific when new. After 20+ years it just looks gross.

lol no one said that brother, don’t be so sensitive. The trim does age poorly I fully understand, as does the wood. It depends on where it is (dash is bad, shifter/ebrake all good) and if the car has been in the sun a lot or changed humidity a lot.
I have a fetish for rare builds and know what it takes ($$) to get them where they need to be condition wise. Glutton for punishment?

I hate when out of state dealers post on my local CL. That car is in KY and the ad is just a sea of garbage when you open it. Looks like a nice 997 C4S cab though

No I agree with your opinion! Don't be offended! Both my cars have carbon fiber. Almost all pieces have cracks in them. EXPENSIVE TO repair and/or replace. I got door pulls from MA carbon and they are getting a little cloudy after 3 years!! Look great but do not last long
