i know this may offend some, but carbon fiber trim is god awful. And here’s a case where the seller states that it’s cracked in some places. I didn’t care if I see it on a 996 with trip tonic since that’s a car that it almost makes sense on….but on a turbo????

agree to disagree?

that’s something I’d evaluate in negotiating and craft customs repairs these pieces.

Both my 996 Turbo's have carbon fiber. It was a very popular option. It's nice to break up the "sea of tan" or "sea of gray" interiors.

I should have kept my opinion to myself. Sorry about that.

CF has been an Exclusiv interior accent material since 993. If cracked or yellowed individual pieces can be easily replaced

My personal favorite 911 interior is 100% Darth Vader black. Barring that, tasteful addition of CF is wholly acceptable to me; although I would not pay additional

I spent several hours this weekend pulling CF pieces from one of my Boxsters. Cracked, faded, laminated, bleh...

Yes, they can be replaced - not cheap. Repaired - yes, but not cheap either.

CF looks terrific when new. After 20+ years it just looks gross.

lol no one said that brother, don’t be so sensitive. The trim does age poorly I fully understand, as does the wood. It depends on where it is (dash is bad, shifter/ebrake all good) and if the car has been in the sun a lot or changed humidity a lot.

I have a fetish for rare builds and know what it takes ($$) to get them where they need to be condition wise. Glutton for punishment?

I hate when out of state dealers post on my local CL. That car is in KY and the ad is just a sea of garbage when you open it. Looks like a nice 997 C4S cab though

The leather looks awfully beat up for 30,000 miles...or maybe just an anomaly on my screen...

this spec is on point! Wow! The inside is amazing! I’ve never seen a center console wrapped in leather before on a 996! That was an option??

No I agree with your opinion! Don't be offended! Both my cars have carbon fiber. Almost all pieces have cracks in them. EXPENSIVE TO repair and/or replace. I got door pulls from MA carbon and they are getting a little cloudy after 3 years!! Look great but do not last long

Default NY car low miles, cold climate.

Maybe going for a ton of money but I wouldn’t go for it low miles, cold climate. Definitely Jake Raby would shine away from this car. I understand that a lot of people don’t drive their Porsche, on my car the last owner were a couple that drove the car 3,000 miles in 5 years , I’m almost at 7,500 miles since January. Fixing to drive today again to meet with squirrel and get my rss underdrive pulley, yes I love modified cars. Also due to the santa clause rally, buying me some more bourbon, next spare engine.
