A great example of why you’ll always be able to find cheap 996s

I would start at $18k, I’m with you there are still good decent deals out there.

There's always deals to be had for 996's. It's the perfect examples where "cheap" deals are fewer and far between.

I mean, can be said for most cars, really just depends on condition, mileage, records, options, etc. That one is a good deal, and has a lot that needs to be un-done. Not too shabby though. Could probably repurpose those exhaust tips into potato canons.

20k for a car with 125k miles isn’t cheap IMO

I posted the same car above, from a FB marketplace listing. I think that looks like a decent car. I’d like to see someone get a PPI done and check it out.

I'd be wary of any 911 that has been modded like this. Does not give me confidence that it has been well maintained.

I'm local-ish if anyone wants me to have a closer look.

Totally agree. The miles, the mods, the driver's seat might be trashed, and how much racing around time has it seen? If he gets close to that, the rest of us can feel good about what our cars are worth.

Exactly and doesn't really mention what was rebuilt. I am assuming he could have something like a cracked head or something equally as bad. Not sure where he is getting his price since there a few other cabs locally that aren't potentially mechanically totaled for around the same price.
