I would like to think that this Ocean Blue has topped out... The graphite on cobalt lsat week sold for 32 and that has 27k miles... People may hate Graphite but seriously I would rather go for pristine Graphite and 27k miles than Savanah plus 50k miles.

In any case I have been known to be wrong plenty of times in the past...

Ehh he bought that less than a year ago and it's been for sale now for a few months. Lots of body work done, I'd be skeptical of the quality

Weird the comment from the dealer that they don't know about the damage... Here it is the true360 report (the link is in the Carfax) made by them...

To me, s 40th with one owner, 45K miles, sport seats and maintenance in Porsche dealer is not a bad deal in 39K $... seeing the prices rise in the last months...

Typical dealer BS...since it was a one-owner, if they were smart they would have asked for the service records as well as records of the damage. But, like most dealers, they are not that smart. As far as the price on this, I have been watching the 40AE cars for a while and the price is a bit high on this...its real value is around $35-36k. Dealers will always ask more, and this dealer has taken the position that they will not negotiate the price on this car (I asked). Where you are seeing the higher prices are on the the auction sites; more specifically, on BaT. To back up what I am saying, if you look at the last 40AE car that was auctioned on BaT, it was bid up to $39K; however, the winning bidder did not complete the purchase and none of the other bidders stepped up after a 'no-sale' was announced to buy it. So, if it was a good deal at $39K, there would have been others that would have purchased it right away. Right now, there are two other 40AE cars for sale that are trying to push the market for these higher, but they are priced just too high...one of them has been for sale for over 6 months and the seller is content to wait to get his price.

the BaT site is a double-edged sword; it is a great place to sell a car, but unfortunately, you get people on there that will pay more (and sometimes a LOT more) than what a car is worth. THere was a 40AE car last fall that I expected to sell for around $30K because of a moderate accident on the carfax, but three people got into a bidding war and bid it up to $43K, which was crazy high. Other 40AE owners and/or dealers will try to use those auction results to justify their high prices. But anyone who spends a reasonable amount of time shopping/researching will gain a true understanding of what they are worth. The same thing can be said for the 996 C4S cars...a seller on RL actually increased his price after I spoke with him, I guess based on what he was seeing other C4S cars listed for. Only problem is that his has much higher mileage than the others.

not Craigslist but eBay - - anybody know this Gemballa Special Edition
stiff ask at $54++

I see some special badging - special front bumper, kinda cool - HRE wheels - a whole lot of audio
not a fan of the 'splashed' silver interior

It looks really rough for the mileage. I get that it was used on the track but yikes that paint.
