If you are looking for something around 1970 you can get this 911S for only $35,000. https://raleigh.craigslist.org/cto/5181310199.html

^ Oohh, and it's in silver also (the 996TT). You don't see those everyday!
But seriously, that's a great looking car. I like silver - very classically German. It's just there are so many of 'em.
As for the silver 996TT in Milwaukee with 6 speed and ~70k miles with an asking price of $29,500 with no accident history whatsoever, PetersA9 said it is owned by the outgoing CEO of MillerCoors Brewing. I would assume that a guy making that kind of coin would probably not scrimp on maintenance. But I also think that he'd just roll into the Porsche of Milwaukee dealer and trade it in on a new 991 as a retirement gift to himself rather than deal with a bunch of knuckleheads like us just to get a couple thousand more dollars than he'd get by trading it in. I would think trade in value on that car would be as much as his asking price of $29,500.
Anyhow, PetersA9 said when he called the beer man, the beer man said somebody already had a deposit down on it but that we'd be next up if that fell through. I think for sub-$30k for a 996TT with no stories and no needs, I'd pull the trigger on it, then continue on my search for the elusive 996TT of color. I think I could always flip the silver one for $30k.
As for the 911S, it goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway - "I think that'll buff right out!"

Interesting ad - for what the seller says
http://seattle.craigslist.org/est/cto/5201918044.html
Came across this ad. Posting here not because of the car or the price, but what the seller says in the ad to, I assume, convince you that his or her car is the right one to buy.
