Someone needs to buy this car. They listed it as Guards Red with no pictures, but it’s actually an Arena Red with XAA code Aerokit. Low miles and great price. If it were a full leather car I would have already bought it.

Yep... pictures of the car would help. Not a bad price given the miles.

2001 Carrera 4 with just over 73k. Engine just rebuilt (incl. AOS, IMS, RMS, Water Pump etc of course), transmission recently rebuilt, new shocks, new rotors and much more. Planning to put a few more miles on it and new tires prior to listing so this is a bit of a preview. Anyway, here's a link to some pics, enjoy.

Stjoh, that is a car to inspire jealousy and/or desire. It needs to be a garage queen, let out only to rule with you on the road. You could certainly get the lust going even more by tempting us with a non-binding asking price. But if you're not sure, maybe the crew here could chip in with some non-binding, but serious bidding. Yeah you could preview a run at BAT here. I'll start the bidding with $15,000, about as low as opinions go around here for what looks and sounds like a seriously good 996. But you could put some oil on the fire if you offered some rebuild detail. Humour us, it's winter this way.

Porphil, thanks for the kind words. I do disagree with you though about saying this should be a garage queen, like any other Porsche it should be driven and enjoyed. Actually, I was surprised myself about how fun it was to drive. Perhaps it's the combination of the Gundo hacked exhaust and the slightly more aggressive suspension combined with the rebuilt engine/transmission. My most recent daily drives have been a GT4 and a 997 GT3 so I think that speaks highly of the 996, the most under-rated Porsche on the market.
I don't want to violate any forum rules by starting an unofficial auction but I would appreciate feedback from the community about this car's value on the market. I do think it's quite a bit more than 15k. I'll try to find some time to add more detail on the car / build later.

That being said, and not knowing anything about the engine rebuild, if it was done properly, I would imagine you could get $22 or close to it for the car. I really like it!
