IMS bearing was found in the sump, or at least some ***** were. That's pretty conclusive.

2004 C4S,
I'm at 107,000. Just replaced the water pump and valve cover sealant.

Otherwise it's still runs like a scolded dog and put a big *** grin on my face everyday.

2000 C4 Just passed 142,000 last night on the way home. Runs great and feels like an old glove.

2002 996 6 speed 84000 miles no ims/rms or engine failure only brake switch, ignition switch, cracked coolant tank + maintenance stuff. Still original clutch. My 1986 Porsche 928 32valve 5 speed has 180000 miles. San Diego California.

Are those Porsche optional oem wheels on it?
If the 200k miles on the orig engine, RMS, IMS and clutch are genuine... then I'm impressed.
Sounds as robust as a 944.. 😉
