139,526 miles - original IMS bearing - car looks almost new - runs & drives better than new - quiet & tight.

I am new to Rennlist, but saw this thread and wanted to add that my 2002 C2 is about ready to turn over 232,000. It's on its original clutch (which still grips great but chatters), and original IMS bearing. In 2006 it received turbo brakes and a PSS9 kit. The current set of pads have about 145,000 miles on them, and look to be able to go another 35,000. Replaced the alternator at 202,000. Power steering pump sounds like the Red October. I think I can milk the clutch another 18,000, at which time I'll replace it and the IMS bearing.

My '99 has just turned 137,000 mi. It's had plenty of PM done to it by previous owner of 13 years (DD). It had it's last clutch and LN IMSB done at 100,000... I'm currently fixing the "DSBT" (drivers side bolster tear) with a Leather World Repair/Refinish kit (Savanna Beige)...I'll post some B&A photos when I'm done.

My 1999 aero kit c2 has 148,500 miles on the original engine; my water pump unknowingly lasted 148,000 miles, as my mechanic told me it was the original water pump when he removed it !

That interior is amazing considering the age of the car and the mileage. No question Porsche cars last a long time My 2000 C4 just turned 148K miles last week with the original IMS. I do see a new clutch in it's future
