That's great too but we sorta expect that from a Mezger motor vs the m96...Apples to Oranges IMO.

ya for sure..,the m96/70 is definitely the better engine/driveline than the m96/01, just showing the daily usability of the 996 series
think the m96/01 might largely avoid its issues if used on a regular basis, driven hard and maintained well, perhaps a picky engine, but still a good one..?

2000 Porsche Carrera 4 with 135K miles on the odo. Bought it four years ago with 107K miles. Engine is solid with regular oil changes and preventative maintenance

I would have if the engine wasn't positively diagnosed with an IMSB failure before the call to Flat 6.
