Ha- I'm sure my neighbors would just LOVE that... Why are you all so opposed to a lunch anyway?

I mean, I do want to come, it's just that... Well Saturday morning... 7:30 am... If it were warmer, and I could go for a run before hand, that'd be better. Anyway, fine I'll try to make it work one of these days. Now that my M3 is leaving the stable, I don't have a choice.

Will have to skip this Friday - will be up in Washington D.C.

FYI Interesting read, kind of strange looking new sport exhaust system for 911's...

The shakes? Sounds like you need a doctor for that

Ahmet - I hope you know that you don't have to be at the Wake Zone at 7:30. 8:00 works well too. Heck, Ken arrived as we were pulling out for the drive at 10:00am. We're laid back about when you arrive.

That being said, I agree that we need to have a lunch version of our gathering. I think Helmut and Dell recently proposed it too. I'm in - some variety would be great from time to time.

As for this Saturday, I've been staring at my Porsche just waiting for the freakin' weather to dry up. I'm travelling for the next 2 days and won't be able to drive it until Saturday. So, I'll be good and ready.

BTW, I drove through Leith this morning. Has anyone seen the red 2005 997 C2 with the aero kit? It has really caught my attention - I can't figure out why. I love my 996. Must stop thinking disloyal thoughts!

Bob

So, this Saturday I could probably be there at 9:30am or thereabouts, if you guys are still around.

I'd much rather have a real 996 GT3, or even a 997 C2S as opposed to a base car w/the body kit. I don't think the 997 pulls off the aerokit as well as the 996 does on the narrow body.

What a beautiful day after 2 rainy days...after lunch took the Porsche out for a spin on our country roads
and could feel the stress just melt away...nothing like a blue sky, sunshine and speed to relax me....what was nice to is I didn't have to pull over and wait for Bob to catch up...... like we do on our Saturday runs........snicker...snicker...

Ouch. But, guilty as charged, Charles. I'll openly admit that I'm a little pokey on our drives. Remember, I don't have those "minor modifications" that your car has - I half expect wings and jack stands to sprout from the bottom of your car like Speed Racer's Mach 5!

The weather looks promising - 42 degrees and sunny! I'm chomping at the bit. It has been a hell of a week!

Helmut, have a safe drive to DC - I'm sorry we won't see you on Saturday, but we'll be looking forward to your return the following week.

BTW - There's a possibility that I'll be out of town the following weekend (Feb 7) - not sure yet.

Rich - Will you be able to make it on Saturday?

Alex - 9:30 should be fine, but 9:00 would be better.

What better way to start with some caffeine to fuel your body, great conversation to fuel your mind, and a drive in the country to fuel your spirit. I'm ready for all three.

See you on Saturday morning!

Bob

Looks like I'll be able to join ya'll on Saturday, all caught up with work (for now) and my daughter is itching for another ride in the Targa

What time does the drive usually end?
