Hopefully, I'll catch up with you guys at Brier Creek on 12/6. The Italian owners are planning a toy run to Durham for underprivileged kids, leaving from BC that day at around 10:00 or so. Anyone can join the caravan, in case any of you guys want to take part in the cause.

The weather forecast
Unfortunately, the Friday weather forecast for the VIR area isn't very encouraging either. More than half an inch of rain is predicted for the late morning period, so my plan to go up there is on hold.

Carrera GT
Just for those of you who have not seen one in person. I just traded this one in from a guy down in GA. Feel free to stop by and take a look. If I am not here (in ATL for the weekend) just tell them your John's customer, and they wont trick you into buying it.

WOW!
That's just gorgeous, John. Absolutely stunning. If only you had been able to bring the Carrera GT to Rockingham last weekend
I'm definitely up for coffee on Saturday, and I'm excited for the toy drive in December.
Thanks for your comments, Ivangene. I'll keep posting - it's the best way for someone who's interested to know that we really do meet every Saturday. And it shows that we don't just drink coffee when we get together - we DO drink a boat-load of coffee, though!(no coffee smiley)

John, will you be working tomorrow? If the Holiday Laps gets rained out then I might swing by and introduce myself.

forecast has changed for the better
- over on the kart track (I'm bringing my helmet and rain suit)
- while waiting between lap sessions on the track
BTW, the forecast has changed for the better; now the rain is predicted to hold off until early afternoon!

Definitely up for coffee on Saturday, weather may be wet. Looks like fun time at VIR is off the schedule for today, raining pretty hard here in CH and the cab does leak in rain. All set for the Carolina DE at VIR next week, tech done. See you guys at the Wake Zone in the am. May run over to Leith to look at the Carrera GT if rain lets up.

Well it was just a little wet today. I called VIR before I left the house just to make sure it was still on and the receptionist said, "rain or shine." Unfortunatly it rained pretty much the entire time and turnout was very low. Probably a total of 80 cars, if that. Good for those who wanted to run alot, bad for the cause. I went out for two sessions and throughly enjoyed it even though the first session was fairly slow. They were also offering rides on a JetSki.....whoops, I mean an Aerial Atom, 4 laps for $10. I would have liked to have gone but I forgot my bathing suit.
Tommorrow morning my wife has some shower thing to go to so I'll probably head over to WZ around 8.
