I do snow, not ice. Doesn't look good out there.

Roads do indeed suck, at least from my house to WZ.
But no traffic and a heavy SUV made it rather enjoyable.

Wrong, so wrong on many levels. Wife said that her office manager couldn't get up her driveway. Receptionist ended up in a ditch on the way in. To me that means keep your butt inside.

Picture worth a thousand words. And the same ice on the truck coated the 'hood streets. I have no problem driving in adverse conditions. It's the other idiots on the road I don't trust.

Yep; the roads were the same here, and same for the truck; not impassable though.

Thank you Dell. Nothing wrong with being concerned about safety. Better safe than an idiot in a ditch.

I'm sitting here working in my apartment and see the sloped driveway out of the complex is still iced up - there's no way I'm venturing out today.

Agreed. If all you have is a car in NC with 'summer' tires you'd be an idiot to try to drive in this weather. Having said that, some people have to get to work! My Geo Prism would even work on the roads I'm sure. lol

yeah, I'm lucky that I can work remotely. Thankfully, I have a colleague that doesn't mind picking me up on the way in to work if I need it, so we're good there, much as I hate to be dependent on others.

Hopefully this clears by tomorrow morning, as I have visitors on site tomorrow, plus travel to Pittsburgh on Thursday... gotta love winter travel.

That's good news. Let's hope this all melts off during the day today.

Cool! I don't blame you. I never thought I would *ever* say this, but I'm looking forward to a week long trip to LA in a couple of weeks.
