The car is definitely fast; however, most of the credit does not go to the driver but the multiple driving aids. The 911, Z06 on the other hand requires
a commitment to develop one's driving skills to a much higher degree.

I owned a G35 6mt for a few years. Not as fast as this car but plenty fast and, of ourse, very similar. The key thing to me is that it is a totally different car than a 911. In all facets it's just different. To me they are much less cars than a 911 or to quote dallasboats, above me, "this car is as dumb as the nsx and anyone who buys one is equally dumb." However, they have their place in society. I owned the Infiniti for 3 years, took it in for scheduled maintenance but never once had any problem with the car. It was mechanically perfect for the whole 50,000 miles I drove it. I bet if you read GTR/Z/G35 boards they would not talk about engine problems like Porsche boards do. However, if I had $80k to spend I would much rather buy a new 911 than a new GTR and it's not even close. To me, GTR, NSX, etc... are just not as exciting as a Porsche 911.
Actually there are several people that have shelled out over $20,000 (yes TWENTY THOUSAND) on new transmissions because theirs failed and Nissan denied the warranty.
The GT-R not quite so reliable as other Nissans/Infinity's, especially when you track it.
